Short for DevelopIt.
A social platform built for people who ship. Communities with channels, a feed that understands a repo link, profiles you can actually make yours, and threads that stay readable as they grow.
Devit started as a global feed of individual posts. That worked for getting off the ground and stopped working the moment there were enough people for niche topics to get buried. Communities rebuilt it around the model that actually fits async developer conversation: channels, scoped to a space, with the feed still underneath.
Topic-scoped posts, inline thread replies and real-time delivery. Public or private per community, enforced in the database rather than in the UI.
A shareable token tied to a community. Clicking it joins you, or opens a join request where the space asks for one.
Every pasted URL unfurls into a card with title, description and favicon, cached so the same link is not fetched twice. Domains that block scrapers get a curated fallback rather than a broken card.
Nine presets, or write your own CSS. Custom CSS is sanitised and scoped to a wrapper so a profile can be striking without breaking the page around it.
All, mentions, replies, reactions and follows, delivered in real time and pushed to your device even with the tab closed.
Links are checked before they are handed to readers, because a developer feed is exactly where a malicious link expects to be trusted.
Connect an account so what you are shipping shows up where you talk about shipping it.
Across posts, people and communities, with a tab per kind of result.
A multi-emoji reaction system in place of up and down votes — more signal, less scoreboard.
Devit is a connector, so Cyanix can read public Devit content and cite it like any other source — posts, spaces, profiles and what is trending. A post’s own image comes along with it, because a Devit post page carries that image the same way a news article does. Ask about something discussed there and the answer points back at the thread.
Moderator and member tiers, so a community can be run rather than just opened.
Admins get to see what is actually happening in their space.
Write once, publish when it matters, and share between communities without copy and paste.
WebRTC, if it can be done without turning a text platform into a worse version of something else.
